New Hampshire accident leads to man’s wrongful death

If your loved one is struck by a car, he or she can be left with serious injuries or even be killed. In a situation where a death is involved, it can be heartbreaking for your family. You suddenly may have to deal with funeral arrangements, medical bills and lost wages, all while mourning your loved one.

A March 13 news release from Manchester, New Hampshire, discussed the recent death of a man who was killed when he was hit by a car on Main Street. According to the news, the man’s wrongful death happened at around 8:30 p.m. on March 12, when he was headed across the street. At the time of the accident, he was in the southbound lane, and he was struck by a car headed south.

When accidents like this one happen, you have to consider many factors that could have influenced the accident. In this particular case, police didn’t report that the man was crossing illegally. Due to the time of the accident, it’s likely that it was dark out, so visibility could have been an issues. Other factors, of course, also could apply.

Following the accident, the man was taken to the nearby hospital with serious injuries. The 52-year-old man passed away at Catholic Medical Center from his injuries. Now, the focus will be have to be placed on investigating the collision to determine which factors played a role in his death and if negligence played a part in the accident.

Police are investigating to see if speed, alcohol, mechanical defects or other negligence was at fault for this accident. If so, they may charge the driver with a crime related to the incident. Right now, they have not determined the exact cause.
