Teen driver causes crash that results in 2 deaths

| Nov 25, 2015 | Wrongful Death |

Car accidents can take lives in just seconds. If you’ve been in a crash, you know that from the moment it happens, every second counts. Head injuries, broken bones, crushing wounds and other medical emergencies need treatment.

Once the emergency team arrives, they do everything they can to help your loved ones survive. Sometimes, the trauma proves to be too much, and someone dies from the injuries suffered. While the situation looks bleak and can be hard to understand as an onlooker, it’s important to know that you aren’t alone. You can work with an attorney who can help you get compensated for the loss of a loved one and allow yourself the freedom and time to grieve.

The families involved in this case may be in a position like yours. According to the news from Nov. 22, a man and woman were killed when their vehicle was struck by a Kia Sorento. The news reports that the victims were a female, 67, and male, 63.

The female was driving her vehicle, a Toyota RAV 4, when she came close to the intersection of Route 31 South and Route 9. It was there that an 18-year-old man lost control of his vehicle before slamming into hers. The teen had been driving west when his vehicle suddenly passed into the eastern lanes, causing a head-on collision.

The teen did not suffer any injuries, police reported, but the male in the RAV 4 was killed on impact. The woman driving the vehicle was also killed, although she did make it to the hospital. The police are investigating the cause of the accident, but they don’t believe alcohol or drugs were a cause.
